Smart glasses
Ray-Ban smart glasses: which model should you choose?

You have decided to move to Ray-Ban smart glasses, but the Ray-Ban Meta range includes several models. The good news: the choice is simpler than it looks. It comes down to three questions.
Question 1: do you want a camera?
This is the real difference within the range.
- Yes: the Gen 2 models (Headliner, Skyler, Scriber Optics) film in 3K, take 12MP photos and let Meta AI “see” what you are looking at.
- No: the Ray-Ban Meta Audio Clubmaster keeps the music, calls and voice assistant, without a camera. Ideal at the office or for the more discreet. We cover it in Audio glasses without a camera.
Question 2: do you wear prescription glasses?
If so, the Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2) is designed from the outset to take prescription lenses. Everything is explained in Smart glasses and prescription lenses.
Question 3: which style is you?
Between Gen 2 models there is no technical difference: only the style changes.
- Headliner (Gen 2): a rounder, easy-to-wear shape that suits many faces.
- Skyler (Gen 2): the retro “cat-eye” shape, for a more fashion-forward look.
- Scriber Optics (Gen 2): a frame designed for vision, to wear all day.
- Clubmaster Audio: Ray-Ban's iconic frame, in an audio version.
What all Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses have in common
- Up to 8 hours of battery life in typical use, and a charging case.
- 3K videos of up to 3 minutes.
- Music and calls through open-ear speakers.
- Meta AI and live translation (see Travelling with smart glasses).

And if you do sport?
Ray-Ban is not necessarily the best choice. Oakley Meta glasses are built to move: the HSTN for active everyday use, the Vanguard for cycling and running.
